Summer 2015 Swimsuit Trends

Put together a few of my favorite 2015 swimsuit trends for the summer. 

I bought two wrap bikini tops from Victoria Secret that I am obsessed with.

 I might add a one piece to my collection. They are so gorgeous this year!!

Summer 2015 Bucket List

Note: Yes, I know I have been MIA. I have just been super busy and whenever I do have free time, I just haven't gotten around to writing a post. Then I feel guilty for not blogging and I avoid my blog even more. I know, makes zero sense. I just got back from Charleston and went straight to work for two days. Going to enjoy my weekend and take a few makeup classes at Sephora and hit the gym. 

(X) accomplished

1.       St. Louis Botanical Gardens Lantern Festival  (X)

I was on a double date last week and the boys surprised us with tickets to the festival. It was so much fun and I got some amazing pictures!!

2.      Food Truck Friday at Tower Grove Park

3.      Art Hill Film Series in Forest Park- Clueless or Sound of Music

4.      The Muny- My Fair Lady or Beauty and the Beast

5.      Get back to Charleston, SC  (X)

S and I went to Charleston with my family. I was able to see some old college friends and second family. I was also able to get royally sunburned on the beach the last day I was there.

6.      Hiking in Aspen, CO

7.      Swim more

8.      Try a few breakfast/ brunch spots in StL (ie the Mud House, Half & Half, etc)

9.      Take some beauty tutorial classes ( ie contouring) at Sephora

10.   Cards Game!!

11.    Try a new summer recipe each week whether main dish, appetizer, or dessert 

           I made this key lime pie (my first ever) two weeks ago for a shrimp boil at a friends house. It was awesome!! 

12.   Reread some old books 

I am sure this bucket list will grow but planning (hoping) on completing this list by the end of August! 

Summer Trend: Pineapple

This summer, there are definitely a few trends I will be following. Although white on white can be gorgeous, I know that my not-so graceful self will have troubles keeping it clean. Between florals, Aztec prints, and others, the one I found the most simple to incorporate was the pineapple print trend. I found a top at Old Navy the other day, for $5! Seriously, it has instantly become a favorite of mine. Interestingly, I cannot find it on their website so it might have been a regional sale only. Either way, here are a few tops that would fall into the summer trend without being overkill.

Friday Favorites: My Birthday Week

A few things from this week that I am loving:

1. Finished writing all my thank you cards from graduation. I love handwritten notes and so I make a point to respond to all cards sent to me with a heartfelt "thanks"

2. Birthday flowers from my mom. So pretty!!

 

3. This adorable bow necklace is at the top of my list of 'next purchases' from Mindy Mae's Market 



 4. Baby elephants at the zoo. So stinking cute to watch.



5. New books!!! Blog post to come!!

 



6. Funny card I found that I can't wait to send to my boyfriend in California. Yes, I am in a long distance relationship.

 

 

7. Being home in St. Louis. And its summertime. So baking with fresh fruit. Rocking my Keds, albeit dirty. The sun shining on the yellows and greens of my neighbors fields.

 

 

 

 

Spending my weekend with my parents at a BBQ competition. My mom has her own team, Sues Ques, in which I am part of. She won last year out of 200 teams for her dessert. This is a new event this weekend but excited for another competition. We've been prepping all week for vending and competing! Have a great weekend!!
